“Through an intimate and artistic lens, Milk brings a universal perspective on the politics, commercialization and controversies surrounding birth and infant feeding over the canvas of stunningly beautiful visuals and poignant voices from around the globe.”

Milk is back – and ready to inspire new parents and those who care for them!

Together with our friends at filmblanc and with the support of the Telus Fund, SafelyFed Canada is partnering with community organizations across Canada this fall to offer a series of screenings with workshops for parents and professionals. We’re building on the success of educational programs that have harnessed the power of “Milk” to engage viewers around the globe and move them to action in their own families and communities.

The public workshop will cover practical, simple steps that families can take to prepare for emergencies as well as how baby food marketing impacts their children’s health and family budget. In the professional workshop, we’ll cover how professionals, volunteers and organizations can use their skills and influence to increase community resilience, improve breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices and prevent harm from conflicts of interest and misinformation.

Check out our Events page for screening dates – we’ll update the calendar as dates and venues are confirmed. If you’d like to learn more or host a screening, fill out this form and we’ll get right back to you.
