MILK Educational Program – Professional Workshop

Along with the Community Health and Well-Being Centre, SafelyFed Canada is presenting a free screening of Milk alongside a 90 minute for professionals who work with families.
This 90 minute workshop is for healthcare professionals and other service providers. A screening and workshop for community members will be held the same evening – please contact the Health and Well-Being team for details.
Topics include:
– Skills for emergency breastfeeding support
– Remediation of lactation problems during response & recovery
– Practical advocacy for IYCF-E preparedness & response: donations
– How industry influence makes your job harder and less effective
– Identify how you and your organization are targeted for influence
– Practical steps to address conflict of interest and improve care
If you are attending from outside the community and plan to share in the lunch provided by the Community Health and Well-Being Centre, please add the lunch option to support our host.
