SafelyFed Canada is presenting a free screening of Milk followed by a workshop on preparing for emergencies and countering commercial influence in infant feeding for parents and other members of the public.

– How to prepare for an emergency during pregnancy or with young children

– Helping very young children cope in and after a major emergency

– Protecting your decisions on how to feed your baby from commercial influence

Following the public workshop, health care workers and other service providers who work with young families are invited to wrap up the afternoon with a discussion of the implications of emergencies and commercial influence on clinical practice & program design and management.

This section will be of interest to midwives, nurses, physicians and lactation consultants, as well as doulas, early childhood educators and social services providers. A certificate of attendance will provided for those attending the workshop.

– Practical advocacy for IYCF-E preparedness & response: donations
